By accessing our website, submitting your information through any survey, form, or booking tool, or using any services provided by Straightcover, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

1. About Straightcover

Straightcover is a lead generation and referral service incorporated in Australia. We operate an online platform where consumers in the United States can express interest in life insurance products by completing a survey or inquiry form.

We are not a licensed insurance company, insurance agent, or financial adviser. We do not sell, underwrite, or provide insurance policies. Our sole function is to collect your inquiry information and connect you with licensed, independent life insurance agents or IMOs (Independent Marketing Organizations) who may be able to assist you.

2. Consent to Share Your Information with Licensed Agents

By submitting any form, survey, or inquiry on our website, you expressly consent to Straightcover sharing your personal information — including but not limited to your name, phone number, email address, and insurance inquiry details — with one or more licensed life insurance agents or IMOs for the purpose of contacting you about life insurance products and services.

The agent(s) who receive your information are independent third parties. They are not employees or representatives of Straightcover. You are not obligated to purchase any product or service from any agent we connect you with.

We take reasonable steps to ensure that agents receiving your information are licensed in their respective states. However, we make no guarantee as to the products offered, pricing, or suitability of any agent's services for your individual needs.

Your consent to share your data is a condition of using this referral service. If you do not wish for your information to be shared with agents, please do not submit your details through our platform.

3. Consent to Communications

By providing your contact details, you consent to receive communications from Straightcover and/or the licensed agent(s) we connect you with, via email, SMS/text messages, and phone calls (including autodialed or prerecorded calls where permitted by law).

These communications may include follow-ups regarding your insurance inquiry, appointment confirmations and reminders, service-related notifications, and informational messages about life insurance options.

For US consumers: by providing your phone number, you consent to be contacted by Straightcover and connected agents in accordance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). Consent is not a condition of any purchase.

4. SMS Messaging Program

By providing your mobile number and opting in, you agree to receive SMS text messages from Straightcover. Messages may include confirmation of your inquiry submission, appointment reminders, follow-ups regarding your inquiry, and informational messages related to your request. Message frequency will vary based on your activity and inquiry status.

5. SMS Opt-Out & Help

To stop receiving SMS messages at any time, reply: STOP

You will receive a one-time confirmation that you have been unsubscribed. No further SMS messages will be sent from Straightcover to that number.

Please note that opting out of Straightcover SMS communications does not automatically opt you out of communications from any independent agent who has already received your information. To opt out of agent communications, please contact the agent directly.

6. Message & Data Rates

Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. You are solely responsible for any charges imposed by your wireless provider in connection with receiving or sending SMS messages.

7. Carrier Disclaimer

Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery of SMS messages is subject to effective transmission by your mobile carrier and may be affected by factors outside of Straightcover's control.

8. Eligibility & Age Restriction

Our services are intended exclusively for individuals who are 18 years of age or older. By submitting your information or using our website, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18, and will delete any such information if identified.

9. No Insurance Advice — Important Disclaimer

Straightcover does not provide insurance advice, financial advice, or any recommendation as to which insurance product is suitable for you. Any information presented on our website is for general informational purposes only and does not constitute a recommendation, solicitation, or offer to sell any insurance product.

All discussions about coverage, premiums, eligibility, and suitability will take place between you and the licensed agent we connect you with. That agent is solely responsible for any advice or recommendations they provide.

10. Call Recording

Calls with Straightcover team members may be recorded for training, quality assurance, and service improvement purposes. By participating in a call, you acknowledge and consent to such recording. If you do not wish for your call to be recorded, please notify us at the beginning of the call. We comply with applicable call recording consent laws in all states where we operate.

11. Privacy & Your Data

The collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review it carefully.

We collect your personal information for the purpose of connecting you with licensed insurance agents. We may share your data with those agents and with third-party service providers who assist us in operating our platform. We do not sell your data to unrelated third parties for their own marketing purposes.

For US consumers: depending on your state of residence, you may have rights under applicable state privacy laws (including the California Consumer Privacy Act where applicable) to access, correct, or delete your personal information. Contact us to exercise these rights.

For Australian operations: we handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Straightcover and its directors, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of our website or services, any reliance on information presented on our website, the conduct or advice of any independent agent we connect you with, any insurance policy purchased from or declined by a connected agent, or delays and failures in SMS or other communications.

Our liability to you, to the extent not excluded by law, is limited to the re-supply of the relevant service or the cost of having it re-supplied. Nothing in this clause seeks to exclude any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or applicable US consumer protection laws that cannot lawfully be excluded.

13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. To the extent that US federal or state laws (including the TCPA) impose specific obligations or rights on consumers in the United States, those laws apply to the relevant aspects of your interaction with our platform.

Any dispute will first be subject to good-faith negotiation. Where resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland, Australia, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you may hold under applicable US law.
